Human Living Library: Roman Catholic

“A lot of people will never take the time to talk to you and when they do talk to you, you sit there and you think well, yeah I believe in X, Y, Z but that doesn't mean that I'm not a normal person.”

Reece

Roman Catholic

Here Reece talks about his life experiences and the impact of prejudice on his life as a Catholic. Reece highlights that Catholicism is an old and rich in history religion. He explains that some people that he has encountered hate the religion and the people that follow it without reading about the religion or looking into it.

Roman Catholicism is the largest of the three major branches of Christianity. The word catholic comes from the Greek phrase katholou 'on the whole, according to the whole, in general', and is a combination of the Greek words 'about' and 'whole'. The first known use of "Catholic" was by the church father Saint Ignatius of Antioch in his Letter to the Smyrnaeans.
